This is the biggest open-air wine tasting event, and takes place under the shooting stars during the week of San Lorenzo. The beautiful old towns of Trani (5 August) and Lecce (10 August) have stalls where you can taste the wines of over fifty wineries belonging to the Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia, and the squares are the setting for music, singing and dancing late into the summer night. This has been a popular event in Puglia for over ten years, and the two venues are in areas which every year attract thousands of visitors from all over the world. (www.mtvpuglia.it) |
